To all universities, research institutions, enterprises, public institutions, and developers:
In order to thoroughly implement the national artificial intelligence development strategy and promote technological innovation and talent cultivation in the field of intelligent game, the "IWACIII2025 Artificial Intelligence Challenge" (hereinafter referred to as the "Challenge") hosted and organized by the Organizing Committee of the 9th International Workshop on Advanced Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Information Processing (IWACIII 2025) is scheduled to be held in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province on November 2-3, 2025. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
With the theme of "Intelligent Game Drives Innovation, Practice Empowers Industrial Upgrades", the competition focuses on the design of artificial intelligence algorithms and system implementation in complex adversarial scenarios, comprehensively examines the comprehensive capabilities of participating teams in key links such as environmental perception, strategic planning, real-time decision-making, and autonomous learning, and selects and incubates excellent achievements with industrialization potential.
The Challenge uniformly uses the "Commander" real-time strategy game platform independently developed by Beijing Institute of Technology. This platform integrates war game deduction and real-time decision-making mechanisms. The participating AIs need to complete multi-task games such as resource expansion, city capture, troop deployment, and defense arrangement in a dynamic adversarial environment. The platform systematically evaluates the robustness, adaptability, and optimal strategy solving ability of AIs by randomly generating multiple maps and ranking scores in multiple rounds.
Officially registered students (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students) from universities across the country (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) and overseas;
Researchers from research institutions;
Technical personnel from enterprises and public institutions;
Other artificial intelligence enthusiasts.
Each participating team consists of 1-3 members, and can also have 1 instructor (must be from the same unit as the team members, and cross-unit team formation is not allowed).
Online registration and payment deadline: 24:00 on October 20, 2025;
Initial code submission deadline: 24:00 on October 20, 2025;
Announcement of initial code review results: October 22, 2025;
